DON’T SNACK BEFORE BED
It’s ever so important that little children follow good healthy eating habits. Bad eating habits can lead to childhood obesity, which in turn can lead to diabetes. And diabetes and obesity are not to be taken lightly. Mrs. Parker is the Health and Nutrition teacher at Green River Elementary and spends her days teaching children good eating habits, making sure they understand why they should eat well and how they can eat well. One thing she makes sure to tell them is that snacking before bed is a very bad idea. Not only does the body burn fewer calories at night while little children are sleeping, but it’s also bad for their teeth and can cause tooth decay! Of all the little children at Green River, Tommy Parker should know these lessons better than any of them since Mrs. Parker is his mother. But night after night, Tommy creeps to the refrigerator to have one final snack before bed. Some nights he has ice cream, others left-over meatloaf, and some nights it’s cookies. If Mrs. Parker realized this she would be very disappointed in Tommy. Mr. Clown, however, has realized. He’s been keeping a close eye on Tommy’s nightly snack attacks. And, tonight Mr. Clown has decided it’s time to teach Tommy the error of his ways. Let’s hope Tommy enjoys that left-over chicken! Because tonight Mr. Clown is going to make sure it’s Tommy’s last late night snack!

DON’T GO INTO THE DEEP END OF THE POOL
Summer is here. And with long hot days filled with withering temperatures and school out, the children of Green River are quick to spend the day in backyard pools, splashing and laughing—to keep cool! Mrs. Cotter said that today Miranda can invite her friends over for a pool party! This of course makes Miranda so excited! “HOORAH!” say the children when Miranda calls her favorite friends—Bessie, Drissy, Moe, Tyrone, and Abner. As they arrive, Mrs. Cotter reminds them to be ever so careful and use personal floatation devices and most of all, “Don’t go into the deep end of the pool!” Bessie, Drissy, and Tryone take this message to heart! Drissy makes sure to put on her floaties and Bessie is content to float on the inflatable raft! Tyrone is happy to be wearing his favorite orange floaties! And, Miranda is just chilling on the side of the pool in her favorite sunglasses. However, as is often the case, not all of the children are interested in playing by the rules. Moe has decided that he wants to swim in deeper waters. After all, he has been taking swimming lessons at the Green River Rec. And, he is almost eleven! Surely he’s a good enough swimmer! Besides, the shallow end is for babies. As Abner climbs on the diving board, Moe calls “LOOK AT ME! LOOK AT ME! Aren’t I the bestest swimmer ever?” The other children remind Moe of Mrs. Cotter’s warning. But, Moe doesn’t listen. He is having so much fun! Abner thinks, “Maybe I should go over there to swim also!” However, what Moe forgot was that Mr. Clown keeps a helpful eye on the children of Green River, and he heard Mrs. Cotter. Mr. Clown of all people understands how dangerous the deep end of the pool can be. So, he has been waiting there all along, just in case there was a lesson to teach. Moe learned it the hard way. Will Abner ignore Mrs. Cotter’s solid safety advice? Will he go into the deep end of the pool? Let’s hope not. But, Mr. Clown is ready… just in case.

Mr. Clown: Happy Flag Day!
It was 1916 when President Woodrow Wilson named June 14th as Flag Day. National Flag Day was established by an Act of Congress in August 1949. Mr. Clown knows this because he read it on Wikipedia. It’s one of his favorite sites. However, Mr. Clown hates it when the little children copy Wikipedia for the school reports. He likes it much better when they use encyclopedias. Encyclopedias are written by very smart people who research properly—not by internet trolls who spend their time making stuff up. Mr. Clown hates internet trolls. He would like to punish all internet trolls. He also hates everyone in the town of Green River who doesn’t celebrate Flag Day. He thinks it’s rude. And, you know what happens to people Mr. Clown thinks are rude don’t you boys and girls? Sure you do.

Mr Clown: Don’t Be A Snoop
Kat Peaker has always been curious. Since she was a little girl, she’s always wondered about everything in the world around her. She loves spending hours and hours reading books and magazines and newspapers to discover all there is to know about everything. And while that is normal, sometimes Kat is a little bit of a snoop. Whenever the Peakers visit friends or family, Kat sneaks into the bathroom and digs through the medicine cabinet. And, if she can find a way, she’ll go through desks and closets, discovering all sorts of sordid and awful things! Kat doesn’t even see anything wrong with snooping, as she feels she should know everything, no matter if it’s someone else’s private business or not. Recently, Kat learned the combination to her parents’ safe. She knows that safe is full of wonderful amazing awesome secrets! She just knows it! And, with her parents gone for the day, leaving her in charge of her little brother Justin, Kat knows the time has come to find out what’s in that safe! She knows that there is an entire manila envelope all about her little brother Justin! She can’t wait to see what it says! Mr. Clown has long kept an eye on Kat, knowing that one day her curiosity might lead her down the wrong path–into discovering things she doesn’t need to know. He has turned a blind eye to her snooping, even that day when she almost discovered the secrets in his basement. When Mr. Clown learned that Mr. and Mrs. Peaker were leaving Kat and Justin home alone, he knew that Kat might take her snooping just a little too far. Is today the day that curiosity killed the Kat? Only Mr. Clown knows for sure.
